Apophenia is a funny thing, even with music. If you try, you can imagine every single piece in Lost is a variation on a single theme -- perhaps Credit Where Credit is Due.

Then there are those people who say Pachelbel's canon influenced many songs, or even all popular music. Connections, real or imagined, are always fun. I tried mashing most of Losts themes with Pachelbel's canon in this video. Some had no connection whatever, and the combination sounded ridiculous. Others were so similar they scared me.

Improv: "Lost - Beach Theme" by SideTrackedMusicians

This one is another improv based around the chords from the Lost "beach" or "survivor" theme. The actual theme is played, and of course lots of awesome improviness! :)
